This next chapter of life is full of transformation and growth–again! Retirement is the chapter I am talking about. This is not for the faint of heart!
I have gone through the passage of parents and the intense care-giving and work that it entails. I have given up the 9 to 5 with it’s trials and thrills. I think I still see things positively most of the time and have not lost the easy, gentle humor that keeps me going. I am a person of strong faith and strive daily to live out that faith.
Professionally, most of my career was spent in the nonprofit sector. I’ve also managed small businesses. The best part of work and life is doing it together! 
And together is exactly where we are. We moved from the far northwest corner of Chicago to the far southeast corner. We have down-sized from owning to renting. Our home is in a multi-flat with two of our grown children. Somehow our house is still full of kids (some grown, some not) and dogs.
My hard-won expertise is gladly shared with anyone who asks. I am ready to listen and ready to help where I can!
I promised myself that in this chapter, I would write something every day. Sometimes I’ll share these with others. That’s where you come in, Reader! Thank you for taking the time and effort to explore with me some of the life we share on planet earth.
